Yes, the one has an understanding now that he needs to be behind the roost when I enter the front .... Needs a bit of a reminder every now and then.

a reminder once in a while? they had a knock down drag out fight last night! i ended up scrambling (as much as i can) up to the loft to see who won! i half expected to see my hubby laying on the floor with the rooster on top of him taking a trophy photo!

Well, he got another "walk of shame" yesterday. He'll challenge me again in a week or so. Pretty sure of that.
Funny he never does it when I fill up his food.

On the "to hatch" list this year is a new welsummer boy....preferably one without this attitude....although might be time for new blood. The girls are so friendly....this is the second boy with too many oats.

When I had the welsommers my first boy was a joy to be around, every one after that was a holey ripper.

My husband had to do the 'walk of shame' for the 2nd time with our maran rooster yesterday. I hope he is cured. He had been such a nice rooster , until he got tired of my picture taking a while ago. I haven't gone back. Then a few weeks ago he attacked my husband for taking eggs we figure. Unacceptable behaviour.
