I went into Wallyworld one day to pick up some rifle shells. Asked the guy behind desk for what I wanted and started to get my FAC out. He said "I can't sell you these, you need to have etc, etc" Handed him the permit which he turned over, dropped and nearly hid behind the desk squeaking about the Prohibited section on it. Thought he was going to pee himself. Got the shells though.
