I still maintain that pumpkin doesn't have a flavour! Even my princesses don't like pumpkin unless desperate.

Anything squash I'll take. I agree, it's the spice that makes it. Like butternut squash soup. It's the nutmeg and ginger. Oooooo soooo excited!
Acorn squash stuffed with ground pork, bred crumbs, cranberries and orange rind, baked, then add under broiler for a min or two with a maple syrup brown sugar glaze. OMG! Soooo good. Dessert for dinner.
Fall. Frost. No mosquitos, no wasps, no deer flies. Sign me up!

No I think it has a mild flavour, I hate it when it gets too spiced up.

pumpkin definitely has a flavour!!!! each of the squashes tastes completely different to me.
Okay-here is a test that will tell if you are a so-called "super taster"....does eggplant have a flavour to you? if yes, you are probably a super taster, and if not, you aren't. I've done the actual test....and annoyingly i am (makes me a picky eater, and a picky cook), and yes, pumpkin has a definite flavour.
(although the flavour is very much enhanced by the right spices...like cinnamon...and cloves....and ginger....and brown sugar lol and wrapping it all in pastry on the bottom and baking at 350F...LOL)

Yes eggplant totally has a flavour. Lettuce and a mild nut had a baby and called it eggplant.
I am a picky eater and a picky cook.
I completely agree. Each squash has its own flavour. The only one I'm not crazy
About is speghetti squash. I'll eat it and not complain, I just don't love it like acorn and butternut squash.
