I've processed and eaten beaver :D I did NOT eat the contents of the castor glands. It's not slimy and brown, at least not fresh from the source...it's thick and yellowish and greasy like soft candle wax or lard. Used for fur waterproofing. I, personally, do NOT find the smell pleasant, and am careful not to damage the sac so it doesn't get on the meat. I can't stand perfume, either. Maybe I'm weird, but if I was a Chapstick user, I'd rather it be made of castor than of paraffin :D

Yuk. Yuk. Yuk. Yellowish and greasy like soft candle wax - Makes me think of Shrek pulling a candle stick out of his ear.
I have a terribly weak stomach for some stuff and the thought of eating any animals anal gland contents seriously makes me want to hurl. Pulling over while driving to release the stomach contents is a regular occurrence when road kill is present. I do my best to look the other way but sometimes a hawk or crow stretching the intestines across the road and flying away with the guts flapping in the wind is all a bit much.

Besides WHO THE F*** discovered that anal glands were an acceptable flavour. SERIOUSLY!! Who went there! WHO???

If you ever walk a beach along the ocean and find a lump of whale vomit also known as abergis, pick it up. Its worth $10,000 or more.

And here we have the fantabulous cheeky Baron, right out of left field yet in his typical fashion, with his interesting facts. Baron, where do you store all this stuff?
