Three men from Newfoundland moved elsewhere looking for work. They heard of a mine being reopened and went to apply.
Boss: Do you have any experience working in a mine?
First man: No I only worked on a fishing boat.
Boss: Sorry but we only want experienced people.
Boss: Do you have any experience working in a mine?
Second man: (Who was warned by the first to say yes). Why yes I do have experience working in a mine.
Boss: Great! How far down did you work?
Second man: One hundred feet.
Boss: No sorry we are looking for someone with deep mine experience.
Boss: Do you have any experience working in a mine?
Third man: (After being warned by second man). Why yes I do, I worked hundreds of feet down in all sorts of deep mines!
Boss: Great! What kind of lighting did you use?
Third man: Lighting? Hmmm, well actually to tell you the truth, I only worked day shift.
It's a work'n man I am.
