I love this one that Starview Ridge posted on PSO. I hope no-one minds my reposting here.
"There is a quote that I really like, it is usually wrongly attributed to Marcus Aurellius, but is a loose interpretation of something he did say:
"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but...will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."
Wondered if Sandy has been hitting the Marcus Aurelius again??? Love some of his sayings.

I love a lot of his sayings too. Anyone who can live with a rational balance has my vote. Although words are great ..their true impact or any value to their meaning always needs to have 'actions' behind them for me to respect them or issue any level of power to the words spoken or written.

For example: I don't think there is anything I don't respect about Darwin and his 'words'. Rational and eventful in his life.

A lot of people have a great extensive vocabulary to pull from and can sound great, but they do poop to back up their words. I'm careful about whose words I repost and add to my list of sayings.

Thanks for sharing KB!
