Ha!
Heres my response to the age old question. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? We know all vertebrates have eggs, but the hardshelled variety first appeared among reptiles.
I'm assuming the first hard shelled egg dates back into prehistoric times. Surely we must have fossilized eggs or evidence of finds. I wouldn't be surprised if eggs were varied like they are today. Colours, speckled etc.

I love it!

being one of these people that believes in evolution and genetics....the genetic recombination that gives rise to a chicken vs a non-chicken happens just after fertilization, so this means that the egg must have come first. :doh: :hide:
