Power is out here

Power has been out here since 9:30 last night. Thank goodness for generators to run our incubator brooder lights and freezers with all of our home grown beef and chicken. We are in Orangeville area anyone else out there with no power?

Bayvistafarm has been out since about 11 last night. The ice out there is brutal she has lots of branches down...

Wow, you all out in Western Ontario sure have had your share of nasty weather this past winter/spring. Here's hoping that the power comes back on for everyone soon.

Power is still out here, hydro said we would have it back by 4:00pm :dunno:

Darn I need to do AI in my pens but can't see well enough to manage :doh:

One of my cottage neighbours was up the other day and caught me passing by..asked me, "tom, was the power out here this week?".. And then when i looked quizical for a sec, she said " oh, of course, you wouldn't know" and we both had a chuckle...i'm tellin' ya, off grid is the way to go...

That is Awesome Tom! my camp is off grid and fully functional but no where near advanced as you of course But its Awesome! I love it.

Al..it's the only way to go...lotta nay sayers talking carbon footprint for all the components but I just don't buy it...the prices have dropped considerably too...all new builds should be doing it...no excuse at all
