International Women's Day..

Post by Ontario Chick » Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:36 am

Celebration at my house so far...

First thought on waking this morning...aahhhh, free day, what shall I do ?
So I stripped the beds.
and then to make it a well rounded morning, I took a garbage can and a "pooper scooper" and went to collect garbage from the ditches on both sides of the road in front of our and our neighbors property.
I hope there is somebody out there with better lifestyle choices then me ;)

I ran out of clean clothes (too busy to wash them). Wore an old fleece plaid shirt and track pants. People at work made fun of me. There were comments about how I wasn't dressing like an engineer, why did I come to work in my pajamas, etc. They asked if we could grow some wacky tobaccy in the aerogarden I said NO! I told them when I started we had beer in our fridge. They asked if we can have beer in the fridge. I said NO! Told them that after 5 pm it was beer loud music time in the olden days. We can't do this now. It's unacceptable. One engineer in training brought methi seeds in that his mom gave him. So we are planting them in the garden.

We went home, she cooked supper, I went to lie down in my bed and rest, read about drones and watched videos on how to harvest herbs from an aerogarden, we ate supper, I ate some Taiwanese peanuts and fell asleep around 9. I think @Ontario Chick has a wonderful life...

@Ontario Chick fenugreek. Lovely fragrant veggetable or spice in ethnic foods. A minor drawback is that you sweat it out but it isn't unpleasant?

ah international women's day. I tried to sleep in. Not super successful. Ate breakfast. (go girl!). Went for a walk. Finished a puzzle. I don't think i did anything remotely productive. Oh, wait, I put 50 chicks into the brooder....well somewhere between 30 and 50 chicks....and did the chores. do those count? I think mostly i just complained about my back hurting, and in light of Sunday's weather, now I know why! LOL
