Two of my engineers in training are from India. One of them has a mom that makes lunches for people. So I pay $10 and I get an amazing homecooked vegetarian meal. There are so many veges I've never seen before but I'm slowly learning all the foods. One thing she makes is a dessert out of ghee which tastes really rich and really sweet. Closest thing I can say I've tasted is fudge. I think it's ghee with almonds and lots of sugar. Not good if you are on a diet though. LOL. Also balls rolled in dates and almonds. Once again, sweet and rich. Everything is spicy.🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ So not for people who can't eat spicy food.

ah international women's day. I tried to sleep in. Not super successful. Ate breakfast. (go girl!). Went for a walk. Finished a puzzle. I don't think i did anything remotely productive. Oh, wait, I put 50 chicks into the brooder....well somewhere between 30 and 50 chicks....and did the chores. do those count? I think mostly i just complained about my back hurting, and in light of Sunday's weather, now I know why! LOL :chicks:
Sounds like you have a wonderful life minus the sore back! Are there chick photos? Isn't this a PTO rule? If you have chicks, you must upload photos correct? :jumpy:

Talking about veges. One of my favs is snow pea shoots. There are also a few really tasty Chinese veges. Gai lan, choisum, Napa, Chinese turnip, etc... Maybe I can grow them in the AG? 😊

AG sell containers for growing micro greens :). I also learned to use a ramekin to grow some lentil sprouts. Just add a little water and put it right over the place where you add water so that it's under the light. Add a few drops of water every day. When my lettuce grew bigger, I moved the ramekin on the windowsill.

So I'm guessing the window sill provides enough light to grow the lentils. When you say miceogreens are you talking about baby lettuce or little green plants like alfalfa?

Yes, there's enough light for the lentils before the plants in the AG become bushy.
We had a talk at our local Hort. Society by someone who grows Micro-greens. She recommended:
Broccoli, Mustard and Radish as the easiest, (and Broccoli lasts the longest when it has to be stored in a baggie in the fridge).
We can also grow Sunflower, Cilantro and Peas, but these are more difficult.
I'm sure there were more, like Arugula (someone said that they bolt too fast).
She recommended Mumms Seeds which is Canadian. $40 worth of seeds gets free delivery, so I was sure to order some peas (which are heavy!*) I also received a free packet of Lentils :).
* Now I have to remember to plant those peas outside on April 1st !!
