Thanks! I just realized the video link was private. Please click the link above to see the reaction of the crowd. This was only on one side of the large beach. Thousands of people were there. For a small community they did an outstanding job welcoming guests. Free parking. Free eclipse glasses. Excellent food. Quaint shops. Beautiful beach. All emergency services were ready and enjoying the party with us. There were hardcore astronomers with lens as long as your arm and telescopes about 10" in diameter. What a great eclipse party we had 🥳🥳🥳 There were no boats on the water except for police, orange Emerg, and coast guard. Free eclipse glasses. Free parking. Someone was playing eclipse theme songs, Bad Moon Rising, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Black Hole Sun, etc.

Nice photos!
It was cloudy here in Kingston but light enough that it was still amazing to watch. When it was total, one of the local wild rabbits came out to see what was happening!
Oh, I thought Kingston was supposed to be sunny. I'm glad you were able to see it. Yes, my friend's 1 year old noticed the sun disappeared and started frantically searching, crying and looking and cried and cried until she cried herself to asleep.

There's a pair of pidgeons at our house. I've never seen one at our house before. 🤔😯🕊️

Yesterday my neighbour complained that a racoon attacked her cat, so I mentioned to her that there is a fox den under her shed, which BTW is about 100 feet from her house and she wasn't aware of it,
Now I wonder if she could tell the difference between racoon and a fox, and would a fox attack a cat?

If a fox has kits it will go for anything. Our kestrels are back and now starting to use the nest box they eschewed last year (nested in the ash instead). Pleased they're back.

Our kestrels are back too :)
The foxes are starting to be pretty funny, it seems like they have been stealing toys, there are all sorts of toys around the den and yesterday they brought a piece of carpet.
I think they might be redecorating the shed. ;)
The neighbours pretty much unaware, accept the cat >fox incident.
They have the same size property (10ac) as us, and I don't think either of them (mother daughter) had ever made it past the 100 feet radius of their house.
One must wonder why some people live in the country ...

:yappydog:

There was a coyote about 30 feet from our house... Otis was barking and I thought it was the neighbours dog... Then I got up to look and it was a coyote!
