Some pics from today's pumpkin carving art work done by our chickens. The first pic was taken at 8:03am, the second at 11:55am, the third at 2:46 pm and the last at 10:01 pm. All I did was scrape the skin off a bit in a flower design, just to get them started. I think I will do another one and this time remove it while there's still some design left so I will have something interesting to put on the front porch.

No, sadly Wallace died in 2021. He was such a character, and such a good all-around rooster.
The rooster in the posted photo is Horatio, our Bantam Easter Egger boy. He's good to all the ladies and also seems to be a good flock protector - often checks the sky for possible predators when they're out free ranging in the yard. And as an added bonus, he doesn't typically crow a lot, or start crowing until about 7am.
