Good morning,
there was a coyote fight or a party beside our barn last night, glad I don't have any chickens in there anymore, I would have had to go out and break it up.
I admit my second thought while I listened to them, was wondering if the "New People" with the little white dog know that it looks just like a rabbit and they shouldn't leave it out in the back yard.

Our "real farmer" neighbours have a maltiyork (rat on a stick) and leave that out in all weathers poor thing. I think she's bored with it!

Friday the 13th, stayed home, another snow deluge, I don't think we are going to wait for this to melt.
Luckily "neighbor of the snow plow" is back from holidays, so we are in fine shape now.
Hope he doesn't decide to spent his winters somewhere warm, can't even imagine paying for the snow removal now.

Friday the 13th. We stayed home too, although I did venture out with Amber along our road twice to check the mailbox. There was a nasty northerly wind blowing in the morning. The plough had been by the afternoon, compacting the snow and making it slippery. After a little fall, I thought it best to walk in the middle as that was where the sand (salt?) was. Amber walked nicely for the most part, when I encouraged her with bribes (er, I mean treats). It was well worth it not to be pulled over!

I did the doggy walk too, I do every day in whatever the weather, but yesterday only few tire tracks and no snow plow have been before lunch, I guess with no school buses there was no rush..
and I admit it was magical, silent, snowy and in the distance sort of blurry white, so I said to the dog ; "look isn't it beautiful, we are the only 2 humans in the snowy world" at which point she gave me a questioning look ? so I said OK OK human and a dog...;)

I went skating at a local park for the first time in 20 years. I was wobbly at first but started to get my skate legs back. I stopped playing hockey when I was pregnant with my daughter. I also taught my son how to ski and hung up my skis too.
