So i bred my lavender Orpington rooster to a maran and easter Egger… I got a couple of very nice roosters and excellent hens. The Maran crosses are ok, I won’t breed them again. My Easter eggers lay so well and forage well, the Easter crosses lay well, forage and are larger and more winter hardy than regular the crosses as well. So my breeding project was successful at least partly.
