It has been a very sad weekend here when we learnt of the passing of Gerald Donnelly.
https://www.facebook.com/rarebreedscanada Here is a link to a tribute from John Joynt.
Without Gerald saving the Guelph line of Beltsville Small White turkeys I wouldn't have had my initial beautiful Tom "Stephen" and my current Tom "Handsome Dude" both pure Albertsen-Donnelly lines. I first met him at an OPB Show 6 years ago and I am going to miss chatting with him and our e-mails.
RIP Mr Donnelly you made a difference.

Re: Gerald Donnelly
I am sorry to hear that, breeders of his calibre are few and far between, a great loss.

Re: Gerald Donnelly
I've spoken with him a few times and dropped by his property to visit once. I walked around and looked at all his feathered friends and played with his dogs. Great pyrenees. It was a lovely afternoon. I'm sad to hear the news even though I knew he was ill. Great loss for Poultry Enthusiasts and the Caledon Community...
