A lot to read there, but quite informative. I probably understood a lot of it.
Glad to see that us backyard types are not likely a huge reservoir of pathogens that would devastate the intensive industry.
My main takeaways are that we do not a bad job mostly, and that ventilation, good food and free ranging allow the flock to handle a lot of bad stuff. Good food and ventilation and hygiene for the flock and personally go a long way in keeping health issues down. Even parasites, although present in most flocks, do not cause huge problems.
