Thank you @Jaye and @labradors
I was feeling a bit alone in the sentiment, hard not to feel in awe of a woman like that.
Wonder if her role made it easier for women to become a Prime minister in England.

Now I feel like I should ad something garden like, so as not to sound too sentimental......
How about my new flock ?

OC. Making myself sad reading all the stuff about the Queen on Facebook.

I don't see your picture so well. Is that your new flock of white peacocks?

Pooh.jpg
Paddington sat down sadly
On a green and quiet glade
And pulled a sandwich from his little hat
Made With the nicest marmalade
He had heard sad news this very day
That the Queen's life had come to an end
He cried because that day they met
She had become his bestest friend
They had shared some tea
That very day when to the Palace he had been invited
He remembered he could hardly speak
He was so very very excited
He offered her his sandwich
Made with such love and care
She smiled at him and with a grin
She showed that little bear
That inside of her handbag
There was something she had made
And that She too kept a special sandwich
Made of the finest marmalade
Although he was just a little bear
And she a regal queen
Watching her take that sandwich out her bag
Was the best thing he had seen
He wondered if any body else would miss her
Now that she had gone
And his heart was filled up to the brim
When he turned his little phone on
He saw that Facebook had been flooded
With her pictures old and new
And that he himself that little bear
Was also in them too
Although today he is the saddest
That he has ever been
He will always lovingly remember
The day he had tea with the Queen
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think she's fattening a turkey for Thanksgiving!
Lovely pic @labradors
Personally I don't really feel anything much except sad for her. A life totally dedicated to service and no choices. It hit home when someone reported she'd visited 100 countries - I wondered how much she had really been allowed to see. The other thing was when now King Charles made his speech and said at some point he wasn't going to be able to keep doing his charity work. Maybe I'm just jaded.

Hey are you trying to make me cry ?
Something went terribly wrong with my White Peacock breeding program colourwise, but as far as feeding and housing cost, a bargain !!! ;)

KB I agree that she's led a rather sad life (apart from when she could be with her horses and dogs, and to feel somewhat free in Scotland). What a lot of service she gave. Was it all really that necessary? I always supported the monarchy with Queen Elizabeth at it's head, but now I think that its time has come. I'm jaded too, and I think it will be interesting to see how King Charles et al are supported over there.

Sorry OC. I thought you'd like to see the Paddington Bear piccie, and then I had to add the latest poem for those who didn't know about the marmalade sandwiches - sniff :(.

Sorry that the peacock breeding program didn't get off the ground, but the turkey program sounds great (for now).

Did someone say marmalade? 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

We recently found out that my mom's best friend was a princess. Her father was a Chinese King according to a recent book. Years went by and my mom kept forgetting to ask her if the book was correct. This year she asked and her friend said the Kings are in the past. Let us talk about the future. She had nothing else to say....

Anyone want to sex a chick?

I am 99.99% sure she’s a pullet.

Also, Is it an Easter egger or an americauna?
Got the chicks from a neighbor, just mixed breeds sold to me as meat birds.

If it’s a hen I may keep her in the henhouse instead of freezer camp. :-)
How old?
The brick red feathers on the shoulder are suspicious of a boy to me...sorry. i hope i'm wrong. definitely not an ameraucana. That would be a solid easter egger....if it lays coloured eggs.

Well poop!! I haven’t heard a crow yet… I have it in with the hens, we shall see.

My neighbor ordered 2 leghorns PULLETS from
The feed store this is what she got….. Are these pullets?!?! I’ve never had these birds before 😂 what a dramatic comb
