Can my chickens eat mint?

I have a bunch of mint I need to move and I was considering planting it along the outside of my chicken run. I am sure the chickens will be able to peck at it once it becomes established. Is there any problem with chickens eating mint? Will it effect the taste of the eggs? TIA.

Not a clue on mint, but I have planted Lovage along the fen cline and in the chicken run, wondering if it would be a problem, turns out it was of no interest to chickens, possibly too strong a taste ? I might be the only person / animal, who actually likes it ;)

I had a difficult time growing Lovage because rabbits found my seedlings and ate them all :(.

Would your chickens even eat mint Chick Flick? Mine are very picky and only like dandelions and kale leaves, although they have totally destroyed all the tall beautiful yellow artichokes that grew in the run for a few years :(.

i have mint everywhere. alas, the birds do not touch it. but i have other stuff that's tastier, like hostas. and daylilies. and lilies (which i always thought were poisonous....so if they are i have cast iron ducks/chickens), and pigweed, and creeping charlie, and alfalfa, and grass.....you'd likely be just fine planting mint. or catnip (also in the mint family).

My stupid chickens eat the rhubarb leaves, had one die because of it. Now I have to fence the rhubarb so they can't get it. They still get in and peck away at them. Thankfully haven't lost any more.

Wow, I’m glad my rhubarb is pretty far from where they hang out! Not that it grows, anyway…haha
