My old Cochin rooster was nothing but sweet with the girls that he felt were "his". And nothing but a rapist with the other girls that were there before him and refused to recognize his authority. After I separated them and gave them each their own coop space he was fine-even while free-ranging with the others. Its almost like it defined his role for him.

He's in with the girls now and is great, he dances for them ,shows them choice tidbits. No more raping.
I put him by himself but able to see the girls through wire, and that seemed to cure him of his nastiness. Now we will see what he produces.
