Found a Fairy Egg!

Post by KimChick » Sun Oct 18, 2020 3:53 pm

Today, I found a fairy egg. Hopefully, it was from a 20 wk old pullet and not from an older hen. And it was in a laying box. Time will tell if the young ones are quick studies in the use of laying boxes.
They have already familiarized themselves with the winter pen inside the barn.

Tis the time, no fairies eggs yet for me though, a few pullet eggs , which are pretty tiny but not that tiny. Any yolk in it?

...but still no indication that the pullets have started laying.
So I gave them some pasta today. Haven't done that in about a year.
