Thanksgiving Weekend

Post by Killerbunny » Thu Oct 08, 2020 7:10 am

Well early well wishes to everyone.
I was musing about the situation and restrictions etc. I remembered a post that @Happy made saying that her chickens weren't a tie but an anchor. I really feel that our birds are helping a lot of us through all of this.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEKEND ALL!

Happy Thanksgiving!! We've never celebrated it before, because we've been at our fall fair ALL 4 days of it.... and looks like this year, we won't either!! Oh well. Thankful we have plenty of food (eating squash like crazy), and have the freezers full! Maybe I will cook a fat chicken!! I'm fresh out of turkeys, cept the ones in the barn, and they are too old for eating, lol. Big pets.

@Bayvistafarm I have eaten my Beltsvilles up to 4 years old. I do a brine replacing some of the water with hard cider. It's amazing.

I'm looking forward to a nice quiet weekend which is not our norm at all. Just my mom coming for supper. A far cry from the 27 people we had just two years ago for our surprise wedding.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
