There's been about 2 1/2 inches of rain here since May, and not much in May. The water in my dugouts is quite low.

Yeah, I think we are all in desperate need of some precipitation. A long steady soak would be awesome.

Yeah! We got some rain! I caught about a watering can's worth in my buckets on the deck (under the awning). Not much in the rain butts, but I think the garden enjoyed the shower while it lasted :). Roll on Saturday when we're supposed to get some REAL rain and cooler temps!!!!

Same. sigh. Crap garden this year, and crap incubation year, and then the raccoon (or weasel, who knows?) quail massacre on all but 3 of our quail - 28 dead, and it would have been four more - roosters that we had to cull the day before due to excessive stress on our quail hens. I think they would have preferred over-amorous roosters over what happened to them that night. I'm still devastated, almost two weeks after the fact. We have both of our incubators loaded full with their progeny at least, and we are working towards getting the quail tractor "bullet-proof" before any of them hatch. The survivors are in the original quail tractor, which is secure. 2020 sucks. End of rant, and sorry I digressed from the topic at hand.
