Giving away eggs - risk of getting sued?

Hi there,

I've just recently purchased my first pullets, very excited! I've been waiting for this for a longgg time!
They won't be laying for a while, but I have some neighbors fairly close by that may not appreciate the occasional noise. I'd like to appease them by offering them free eggs, however I don't want to get sued if they get sick for whatever reason! I know the risk is very low, but still there... Could they sue me?

Thanks!!

I'm not sure if anyone here would tell you that it will never happen.
There is always a chance for everything in live.
If you are worried, why don't you
1) candle the eggs you are giving away, so you know there are no blood spots
2) put some of the eggs layed from before in your own food
3) eat some of the eggs layed after, too.
4) store the in between, until you know both were good and then deliver them.

Put the eggs in a cake - take that over? I gave my grumpy nay-boors a pot of mums once.
