Question about Ontario BST days and auctions

Post by modern17 » Fri Mar 27, 2020 10:42 am

Just a question... is anyone aware of any Buy Sell Trade Days or Poultry auctions going forward during this Pandemic ? I would hope they would be canceled but other than the Pheasant auction is the only one I have heard is officially canceled. Just a question ????

Just checked the Eastern Ontario Bird Breeders website and their spring auction in Vernon is cancelled:

I would think all BST s organizations who care about others would follow the Government rules at the time . Not sure what that is now . But some now have cancelled & others that are further down the road are waiting to see where this goes . Fishing tournaments on land for kids & in boats are cancelling as we type .
Was into my local small town Foodland yesterday , great supply , great staff , not growded . Owner says rural rush has slowed down . They are also hiring extra staff so regulars can get a rest . Sanitizers soaps at door if not carrying your own .

Ross , I agree that one would think that this would be the case ( adhering to the protocols ) but as in past events if you recall.. back with the AI outbreaks... some feel " its not my problem" attitude … I recall a famous BST that canceled that still had people show up... Several of the authorities are concerned. As we all should be.... nuff said.

I just thought it was mandatory to cancel, any that still have it should be fined!
