Fires in Australia

My brother and his family are at risk in the areas affected. To say that the situation is dire is an understatement, and it is predicted to get worse rather than better this weekend because of the forecasts.
If you are at all inclined to pray please pray for better conditions (i.e., rain and lots of it, diminished winds and average day time temperatures lower than 40 degrees C) for all the thousands of firefighters, citizens, livestock and wildlife dying or in peril. Please. This battle has been going on for months, and still shows no signs of improvement

Jaye, I am not much for praying but I have been following this tragedy for some time...I sure hope things change soon...the fires are unbelievable and the loss of forest habitat and wildlife is horrifying...houses can be rebuilt and I have no wish to downplay the emotional shock to people caught in this but i read somewhere the loss of wildlife is running in the billions..incredible

So sad for everyone, especially the wildlife, they have no way of knowing where to go.

I think that "hoping for change for the better" may be helpful too. :-)
Yes, you're right - I should have said millions and millions affected, not thousands, in my original post. This morning when I checked there were 6 emergency warnings to evacuate/out of control fires listed for the area in NSW / ACT that I'm paying special attention to. Thankfully, that number is down to three at the moment.

IKR? They don't know what's going on, or which direction will get them to safety.

RAIN. That's what's needed. And lots of it. Please, pray/hope for rain, folks. Thank you!
