Re: Good Morning!
I started some seeds 5 days ago and some of them have germinated already, was not prepared for that! Let's hope the cold blast of the next few days is the last.

Re: Good Morning!
@Killerbunny , you started them indoors, right? I've started a bunch recently indoors, and they have all germinated quite quickly. I do use the soak on a plate method which really speeds up germination and also identifies seeds that are not viable early. Some have been transplanted into seedling pots, but haven't gotten to potting quite a number of them yet (still working from home, so ...)

Re: Good Morning!
Oooh, that's a nice surprise! (the turkey egg, that is)
I don't think you started them too early ... I'm no master gardener (in fact, I'm a neophyte), but the way I see it, if they have more of a head-start, they may do better once they are planted outdoors.

I think it's a tad early, although I started my tomato seeds 3 days ago, and my peppers before that. I'm really hoping for an early spring this year so that we can safely plant out on Victoria weekend :)

Re: Good Morning!
True, maybe a bit early. The way I'm looking at it, though, is if it's too early for what I've started, we'll just eat what we can as baby greens.

Re: Good Morning!
Last week I repotted my bulbs I had stored from last year. As I started using the potting soil I had stored in the enclosed porch cupboard, I came across corn kernels in it. Those damn red squirrels got in this huge bag of soil. Even with all my diligence in picking them out as I potted.....yup, this morning the only sprouting I’m getting in my pots.....is corn. Grrrrrrr
