Re: Good Morning!
Thing is all the busts around here have been on licensed premises. The busts are for not following the rules on growing and processing etc. I for one won't miss the constant skunky smell of the stuff!

Morning all! Just making it "under the wire" before the clock strikes noon.
Using greenhouses to grow "weed" is better than in a home, that is for sure.

Re: Good Morning!
Good morning,
The weekend is upon us, no longer defined in any way accept for the Saturday paper, which is now half of the size of what daily used to be.
I must say I though since everybody is corralled in by you know what, I expected the PTO to swell in numbers, yet the decline continues.
I feel like I am here under false pretenses as the last of our flock has left last month, after more then 40 years of poultry as constant presence in our lives, it will be a while before I stop expecting to hear a rooster crow in the morning, and a very long time before I eat eggs again.

Re: Good Morning!
It seems that they make more of Thanksgiving in the US than they do here.
So sorry that your flock has gone OC. You must really miss them! Could you manage a few chickens in the spring?

Re: Good Morning!
OC you need to find someone with chickens to give you eggs! and you need to find a rooster crow recording to put into your phone for a wake up alarm
Some time soon we will be downsizing for winter. Lost a couple of my old roosters to old age this past week. had to fix the hydro into the one coop. trying to fill water in the pitched black was not working....so did that today. also flipped out trail camera sd cards....some nice does but not a single buck. hm. next up is fixing a tree stand. and i need to pull the bale spear off the tractor and move a pile of dirt into a spot for a new garden. got a pile of roots to plant-irises and day lilies and daffodils....for colour next year.
we were expecting to have to get things ready for winter soon but its about 26c out there today. we have mosquitos like crazy! but its good for rising the bqtch of bread i am making-with duck eggs. lol the bread is yellow from the yolks!!
