Oh Dr. Juni the Swedish Chef ( Muppets and I know he's Swiss) known in this house as the talking vegetable. Sorry!Ontario Chick wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 10:47 amGood morning,
After listening to Dr Juni yesterday, took a mental stock, extra bags of dog food delivered last week, freezer is full and two cases of vine in the cellar, we should be good for a month or so :)
With the snow cover the country side looks pretty, one thing I noticed on my "doggy" walks, there is maybe 6-8 dog walkers I see in distance on regular bases, noticed that once the weather hit, only the women walkers still go, the men fell off. We know who the strongest of the species are now, of the most foolish I guess :)
Good Morning!

Re: Good Morning!
When I saw the Covid numbers going up recently the first thing I thought of was. "Buy toilet paper" Last year someone stole my nephew's toilet paper when he fell asleep on the bus. I don't know why humans behave this way but it sure is interesting... I would think food would be the first thing people would hoard but toilet paper? I also had trouble getting paper towels for some reason. This was last year. I still don't understand why? I've been using Grocery Gateway (Longos) since the pandemic started and really happy with their service. I found out it is less expensive to get my dog food (Pet Smart) and cat litter (Amazon) delivered to my house which was surprising.

Often wondered how little old ladies managed with that heavy stuff. I use horse bedding pellets now so they compost and Charlie likes them which is what counts!

Re: Good Morning!
Speaking for little old ladies everywhere, we have our stuff delivered to the door ( thank you Pet Smart and Amazon ) and if the young man Erick, Jason, or Bob is heading to the wrong door, as is their preference, we stick our head out the door and yell in a scratchy voice .... the OTHER door please !!!Killerbunny wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 8:28 amOften wondered how little old ladies managed with that heavy stuff. while the dogs are barking excitedly, actually that pretty much describes our social life in a nut shell.

Re: Good Morning!
SO we are padlocking all the pens and turkey coops this week. Sadly in this nasty little s**thole of an area people can't be trusted. We've had threats to them before but this year there aren't turkeys to be had in stores in town. We've had enquiries about Xmas turkeys but people don't get we need to know in April! I find it sad we've had to do this but over the pandemic crime and drug use has sky rocketed in the area.

We are scared they might. We were robbed a few years ago of DHs work tools. There are a lot of problems in this area made worse by the pandemic.
