YING & YANG but "Life is GOOD"

Post by Poultryprincess » Tue Dec 10, 2019 1:28 pm

Hello Wonderful PTO members,
Going to share my Wonderful but ongoing "Ying & Yang"

Pleased to say the "Princess will soon be a QUEEN" ( Queen of the Castle  )
I Found a house that I couldn't get out of my head ~ so I bought it!
I Found hubby a house in his modest comfort zone ~ so he bought it!
BOTH houses need renos & so far we are helping each other make plans

My "Castle" needs New roof, both bathrooms are gut jobs & needs updating
BUT it has CHARM, & I am excited to get my hands dirty to fix the problems
DH house is a complete gut job but has Much promise & great city lot
Weird how similar our houses are...both are Old with character

A friend has a petting zoo & agreed to take my birds as Retirees
I kept a small flock - only 5 bantam silkie & showgirl hens "for now"
BC of the renos I made the hard choice of focusing on my priorities

Hubby gets his house in a few weeks, mine is mid-Feb
Will keep you up to date with the developements
I am excited for my new house / doing renos / new life
BIG THANX for ALL the support & encouragement
It has helped me in ways I cannot express :yippiechickie:

I love your back yard, private and spacious!
Is it in the country? Part of your garage would make a great little coop.

Very nice! I am very glad you could keep a few birds and the others will go to somewhere they will get attention.

YES the garage will work. Right now there are wonky doors & broken windows, so not safe for the birds. I am going to build a temporary coop inside the garage that will be draft free & with hardwire cloth (1/2 inch Thick wire ) to keep them safe. The lot is 85 x 199 in a small town of 250! The Heritage Society is walking distance, a gate in the backyard leads to the Library & Fire dept! There's a Quilt store, Drug store, Variety store .....and a LCBO LOLI am Excited for "Life's Little Blessings" I am 1/2 an hour from Lindsay, Orillia, Bobcaygeon....I have friends in each place. LIFE IS GOOD - Seriously!!!

Congrats PP! now you have to get a seat on town council so the local gov't doesn't move against you getting birds :)
