This Red Maple tree was planted as a house warming present 12 years ago. We have another week or so of this being the first thing we see when we look out our living room window.
Last to change colour, last to drop it's leaves. Always beautiful, if you like trees

Acer freemanii Autumn blaze is it's proper name. Unbelievable if you get a chance to get one.

What a great tree and story. My maple tree could be that tall. Planted 8 yest ago. Next to the barnyard, to eventually supply shade on hot summer days. It will replace the mulberry that is old and would have gone over in various windstorms had I not pruned a lot off the top.

And the maple tree that I planted. The goats have helped me prune it several times. Stripped some bark. Eaten the top off it two different years. More bark this summer, had it wrapped with chain link. They walked it down and stripped bark up higher. I caught them before they killed it. Fenced it better. Why do they not want shade?
