Young Pullets starting to lay

Yay! The chickens that hatched at the end of May are starting to lay!
Yesterday, there was a very small egg (much larger than a fairy egg) in a nesting box, and today there was a small egg.

Congrats! That first egg is always so exciting!
I think my two are almost ready too: combs pinked up and starting to check out nest boxes. They were 5 months old on October 10.

Got a couple more small eggs. Best of all... the pullets are using the nesting boxes!

My Serama pullets aren't laying yet, but the roosters are breeding them. They are about 4 months old.
