Well do you see Facebook has banned selling animals on their sites, this is going to effect a lot of facebook groups, perhaps they will have to come back to forums.

They are all welcome here! i do think that a couple of the problems are actually stalkers reporting them in particular. They know they can zip over here and we'll take them in

You may have to quit your job and monitor full time

One poultry FB account has I’ve heard has supposedly 1000 plus members . Could PTO handle it Kathy ?

sure, why not? it will be a little more moderating, but we have over 1000 members already, and there's quite a bit of overlap between those groups on FB and our forum.

yep - I've been over there recommending this site. People are like "oh we should open a webpage for sales", its so hard for me not to be a smart ass when I let them know PTO exists

The animal sales ban by Facebook has been in effect for quite some time now. Its easy enough to get around getting "flagged" by FB police. Just dont use numbers in a price, spell it out ie: one thousand dollars instead of $1000, and don't use the words "for sale", use words like "for your consideration" or "available to interested parties". On the horse pages, they say stuff like "halter available, comes with chestnut mare". People will always find a way. But I certainly don't mind coming to PTO looking for stuff either! lol

I joined a few of those poultry Facebook groups just to lurk and learn. But with all the issues Facebook, the company, is having these days, I'm just not going on the site anymore.

They had a fella report the site to the FB police. So, now the site has been flagged. It's an issue for the Admins on the site, they are having their own posts pulled. One bad apple can spoil it for everyone else. It's too bad.
