Nice. Now I’m wondering if I got the right number of each. It’s just not adding up! Haha

Ok, so am I right in thinking these might be 2 different varieties? The wing colour looks different. 2 separates chicks, wing and face pic. I’m guessing first one is welsummer, and second one is either chantecler or barnvelder.

yes. definitely different and first is welsummer and the second likely barnvelder although i've never had partridge chanteclers, but for sure the second is not a welsummer. :-) look like nice strong healthy chicks!

I assume you are talking about Partridge Chantecler, right? I haven't seen any Partridge Chantecler chicks so I went looking for them online. I finally found some, and they look like they *could* be like the second photo you posted, but I didn't see any pictures of them with the same wing feathering as yours. Could be that I just haven't found any pictures of chicks that are the same age.

Yes, partridge chantecler. Noooo, I couldn’t get some nice easy yellow chicks to save me some heartache!
I’ve been able to find pictures of chicks for each variety that looks just like the ones I’m having trouble with! Oh well, I guess they’ll grow up eventually...
