Happy Valentine's Day

Post by muffin57 » Thu Feb 14, 2019 9:16 pm

Wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day! My day could be better. I've been sick for over a week with the flu/cold. Sleeping lots lately. I don't have the greatest immune system, so it takes me a while to fight off.

Call me an old curmudgeon but if you can't tel your better half how you feel about them throughout the the year, Feb 14 isn't gonna help much...it just puts some of your hard earned cash into someone else's pocket for nothing ... :run:

Ha! Ha! Thats what my husband says but I tell him no, the day is set aside to remind people to voice and show their love. Too often people forget to voice their love and just feel their loved ones know they love them. Sometimes its nice to have it said and a little sign of appreciation goes a long way.

My husband made me soup with a cheese cut out of a german shepherd on the top. Doesn't have to put money in someone elses pocket. I loved it! Although I'm still working on the puppy.

My hubby bought me an exercise bike for Valentine's Day. LOL, just kidding - it was just a coincidence that it arrived yesterday. I had ordered it a few weeks back. Hubby had it put together for me by the time I got home from work, though. I think that was a romantic thing to do. I appreciate a thoughtful gesture much more than flowers and/or chocolate. Although I do like chocolate. ;-)

We did our usual evening swimming workout with Coach Jane - Princess of Pain! Never in any condition for anything else after that. She is a seriously great coach though.
