Boys!
Boys!
Ah well my pretty little showgirl that I though/hoped was a girl I'm 99% sure is a boy.
It was always the one that would come right up to gets its picture taken, you can't help but like those ones. But I started to notice it was very pushy with the other babies to the point where I moved it out of the grow pen to be in with 2 older hens, I thought they might bully it, I kept an eye on them just in case but no that never happened. I thought wow this is going to be one pushy hen, we've all seen those. Now I notice it has that male rooster build and is starting to develop a comb. No crowing yet though.
So now pretty sure I have another rooster. He is still a keeper though, I imagine he won't have any fertility problems, too bossy for that, I think plenty of testosterone there.
Heres a picture of him when younger don't have a recent picture though.

Re: Boys!
Yep, he would've had me totally fooled too! He looks quite girly in the last pic as well, I think.
What a cutie.

Ok as promised heres a picture of him all grown up, turns out he has a bit of frizzle to him as well. Sometimes with the frizzles and showgirls the feathering is sparce , his is not his feathers are very dense. Hes like a big puff ball.
