What's a fair fee to pay someone to look after poultry when you go away on vacation?
Obviously I think it changes based on how many birds/waterers/feeders/coops and how many times you would want someone there over the course of a week. Some people let birds out every morning and closed up every evening...others may just need waterers and feeders refreshed and eggs collected. I'm interested in hearing what your expectations of someone would be and what a fair price for that would be.

Don't know about birds but my cat sitter charged $20 per day for an hours visit (we are rural). If someone had more $5 per additional animal. If you wanted 2 visits a day the second was $15. She was excellent and the cat liked her, huge bonus. This also took care of any insurance requirements for the house. She was bonded and insured and a vet tech.
