Re: Good Morning!
One thing to keep in mind @Farrier1987 is that apparently god takes only very special people on Easter Weekend (that includes agnostics and atheists so you are probably safe.

At Farrier put the bad ones out with the goats they will set them straight and you will have some great photo ops.

Re: Good Morning!
Hubby just came inside, sniffed and went and peaked in the oven. Then he said “flock blocks again? Those chickens get treated way better than me!”

Re: Good Morning!
Well, I think its over. A few metaphorical black eyes and fat lips, but no stab wounds or anything to require calling the paramedics. And as usual, about chore time and any chance of anyone having to actually DO anything, they all left. Me an all under 5 years old (mentally and/or chronologically) went and played with goats and gathered eggs, fell off the swing, checked out goatberries, stuff like that you got to know in life.

Farrier1987. South of Chatham on Lake Erie. Chickens, goats, horse, garden, dog, cat. Worked all over the world. Know a little bit about a lot of things. No incubator, broody hens.

Its been a fairly quiet three months as my parents have been in the city house sitting my cousin’s place. Last Easter was upsetting - Rev Carla - aka the wife- was tired of doing family meals as she has done the last 7 years so she stated that folks could come over just don’t expect us to do anything (including house cleaning my parents side of the house). We enjoyed a quiet Easter as my parents went to my sister’s - then we found out everyone else was there and we weren’t invited! So “buck” them.
So yesterday we felt a “disturbance in the force” and my parents barged in and then they went off bickering.
Here we thought we were “home free” and a quiet Easter ahead - but no such luck.

Happy, that is SO funny! It used to be dog treats baking in the oven here, and hubby used to get SO jealous {LOL}. Can you please share your recipe for flock block some time? I'm sure my girls would LOVE it :).

Re: Good Morning!
Farrier, so sorry to hear what happened last Easter. How mean of your sister not to invite you both .
I hope you will enjoy this Easter, even if your parents intrude.

Re: Good Morning!
I just use the one here Happy @ and so it begins...
Truthfully I throw just about anything in that needs used up lol. In fall I collect windfall apples to throw in. I've thrown leftover pasta in, potatoes, cereal that's past its prime...brown bananas when I've had my fill of banana bread. The trick is to ensure that it will stick together when you squish it between your hands. If not then add more bread. And I find them better after they sit for a few days. They're harder and the birds need to work harder. Bundt pans are perfect because you can rope them up and make them stretch for it. I've also baked small ones to slide into suet cages.

Re: Good Morning!
@labradors , I think you meant to address this post to @baronrenfrew - @Farrier1987 doesn't have a mean sister who excludes him from family holiday gatherings, to my knowledge.

Oh I'm so sorry! Maybe Farrier 1987 would like to add a mean sister to his menagerie?
