Currently hovering at the freezing mark here. So glad we got some cleats for our boots! Walking on the grass happened with a loud crunch on every step. I had to make my way through the "X" in the wooden gate to get to the barn this morning; the latch was covered in ice. Reminds me of the ice storm of 1998 in many ways.
DH was out knocking the ice off the branches of the bent over little birch tree, too.

Which reminds me. Why is 144 such a terrible number? It is just gross.

Got away with little damage from yesterday. A few branches but that's all. Really glad we took down the iffy trees this year!

Oh not another ByLaw fight. I am currently in hassles with our planner because they changed it to NO Livestock at all on less than 10 acres!!!! Livestock includes bees and fish in the basement. I got her verbal that we are grandfathered but the fight goes on.
Ok so after all our fighting and information the Council Meeting last night changed th ByLaw to no restrictions etc. as long as under 5 N Units!Perseverance pays off I guess. However this does need final approval.
