Good Morning! 2019

Post by poultry_admin » Tue Jan 01, 2019 7:41 am

Hello All
and :welcome: to 2019! I hope you got all good into it!

To keep with the custom, I have closed last year's Good Morning and am starting this one. There were again 152 pages of that one topic

i do love those lights-well, okay i love smashing them. especially on my desktop where the mouse does em all in on one fell swoop across the screen LOL
I have once again this year made a calendar with the photo contest pics-this year a little different, i put all the entries in (and the whole year winner on the front page). Feel free to download/print/use!

we got a ton of rain and wind yesterday again. the mud is epic and starting to freeze.....cold coming tonight. horses being trimmed tomorrow, been painting the house-only 2 rooms left to go, the one office (yikes) and the front room (another yikes) saving the "best" for last. may remodel the kitchen so not painting in there yet....rest is done and looks amazing! my back is going to enjoy the break this afternoon of doing NOTHING. baseboard and casement boards being delivered tomorrow so will paint those before putting them up, so much easier that way. have paint and roller...won't take long. so. productive holidays! can't believe it's the new year already, made it through another!!!!!

WLLady, you are reminding me that I have some painting to do!
We have been in our house for 3 yrs. now, and it's time to do some painting. Good thing we like most of the colours; we will not be making any drastic changes.
But first I want to get some sewing done; I've had the fabric for about 3 yrs. It's time to get the kitchen chair cushions made. And I have enough fabric left to make liners for my egg basket and a woven basket/bowl that we have on the counter for tomatoes, garlic, etc.
That's how my New Year is beginning.
Oh, and no sooner we removed the two young, frisky, tag-team roosters, that our hens are less stressed and laying more eggs.

Hey... my wife has just got the notion of painting. Been here (on and off) for 20 years and NOW she wants to paint? Is it a female thing? the weather?

yes the weather sucks ... ya ain't Canadian if every conversation doesn't include a bit about the weather. welcome to "global weirding" , the new "normal" of weather.

My guess would be that after 20 years, it might be time?
