Who cuts grass? Foolishness! That's what geese are for! Seriously, lawns, what a waste of time and money. If I didn't have geese eating it I'd likely rip up every single blade and plant food instead. I'd catch heck for it because DH likes a lawn (weirdo), but I think he could learn to like tilling and hoeing as much as mowing ;-)

Ross I love cutting the lawn, it makes everything look so much nicer. Ha! Ha! Ha! I'm weirdo too
Got the chicks outside for a little bit today, poor babies were so scared and huddled together. It will take them a few times outside to feel comfortable.

Can’t afford to put hoofed critters on grass , need to many gooses to eat 2 acres of corral grass plus slippin & slideing in the 💩 & the yotes would be more reg than now . Look-in for a mare/foal , pony , donkey to graze for summer then go home . All this grass cutting cuts into fishing .🐟🐠

My girls are enjoying the sunshine!
I, on the other hand, am sweating to death trying to get the brooder finished, so I can move the chicks outside! I’m not even close!

Very cute @Blizblaz !

@kenya I love cutting the lawn too! We laugh about or neighbour who cuts his lawn with a bush hog twice a year. He probably drives past our place and rolls his eyes and thinks “what a waste of time”.
To each his own!

We cut our lawn all the time too. First, we need to find the poop in the puppy pen...lol and we just like the way it looks. We also do the trim! My neighbor on the other hand, he usually starts about 8 or 9pm when his wife tells him to go out and cut the lawn. That usually last about 1/2 hour...lol
The hens love the fresh cut lawn.

morning all!!!
been a week north of montreal providing meals to the blackflies. i have never seen them that bad!!! still cool there too needed fires and the furnace on! didnt do much just helped out opening up the house and cutting grass and widening the driveway....and cooking lol. oh and eating. dh did go swimming in water that was maybe 10c....crazy!!! not for me!! picked up tons of downed branches and stuff too. and walking...training puppy. shes doing great. off to the vet on tuesday to get a couple retained puppy teeth extracted and spayed...no more puppies wanted here! so she will have a quiet week this week. power was off and on while we were gone with a full load in the incubator of course. will candle tonight....fingers crossed....
got back yesterday and hopped on the mower and cut the grass. need to edge it today. i like the look of it all nice and neat. but horses take care of most of it for us!! need to start weeding and find the rest of the potatoes that need to be planted....i have a horrible feeling they might have ended up in the composter sigh. they werent in the basement...
and happy to report that i now have loads of mealworms-and enough to sell now too!!!

New addition to the household . Neighbour caught it flying to her in her yard . If no one claims will put it in VERY large aviary inside cage with 20 yr old male cockatiel after quarantine if he will allow if not find home for it. More grass to cut today . Maybe if I drag a weedless lure behind mower may catch a “grass pike” . Yu think? 😆🐟
