Yes happy thanksgiving everyone!

I'm thankful that today my mom is able to join us for a thanksgiving dinner, over the last month she had become so ill, that I told my closest friends I thought we were going to lose her. Now everything has reversed and she is doing well!
What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving all!
My :turkey: :turkey: are thankful nobody will be gracing our table this weekend.
2 years ago on Thanksgiving Friday I got the news I had Breast Cancer, now my latest checks are all good, I finished Chemo last November and I feel FANTASTIC!
Also on 14th October 30 years ago we arrived in Canada, so close enough to Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We celebrated yesterday with all the food we were blessed with this year from our garden in addition to our purchased turkey and ham. I made 2 pumpkin pies and 2 apple pies with an oatmeal crumble topping. My son and granddaughters did all the clean up after that I very much appreciated. I'm so thankful for the food and family at Thanksgiving. Tonight is leftovers for supper.

The day is almost done but yet some folks are just now sitting down to feast amd share..MJ and I enjoyed the fruit of the season on Saturday. It was the only day that my girls weren't scattered to the four winds obligong other extended family invites..we have never needed it be on 'THE' day....its a rotating thing and this year my oldest hosted...the host provides the bird..the rest of us bring all the rest
...we brought all the apps and a root vegetable puree...potatoes, turnip, carrots, parsnips all from our garden and a celery root that we had to buy..I would like to grow celery and see about harvesting the root..love love love celery root..
...stuffing, mashed taters, green beans, homemade cranberry sauce, apple pie, pumpkin pie, apple strudel cake..great coffee and other libation to top things off...its all about family and the bounty of the season...i could barely move after but I wouldn't miss it for the world...spent the day today harvesting the rest of my tomatoes and making 14 jars of crab apple jelly...so rewarding.. :run:
