Extreme Climate

Post by muffin57 » Tue Aug 28, 2018 7:24 pm

Yesterday morning we had a severe thunderstorm, but I was thankful it didn't last long. It got really hot out in the afternoon 28 feeling like 32 and then the temperature just started to drop. We went down to 8 and today was a high of 12 going down to 8 again tonight. It starts to warm up again tomorrow. What a sudden change in temperature all in the same day.

Sadly that is the new normal. One night we nearly frost, the next night a tropical heatwave.

Scary times. We have been fortunate though that we haven't had the tornadoes. Fire ban was lifted yesterday. The rain did good and we are suppose to get more tomorrow with the risk of a thunderstorm. Long weekend weather forecast looks good, so maybe we will be able to enjoy an evening with an outside fire. It's been awhile, since we had one due the fire ban, so I look forward to it. We usually get company with the country fair this weekend friends and family who come out for it stop by to visit.
