RIP, Little GInny
I had to say goodbye to probably my favourite little Golden Italian, Ginny, today.
Tears were shed. She was a very sweet, friendly girl. She came over to greet us whenever we showed up. She had managed to bugger up one of her legs a while back, no idea how, but have my suspicions that Joe may have had something to do with it. She appeared to get along just fine in spite of it, for months. Then suddenly, yesterday, she seemed out of sorts. This afternoon, when I checked in, one of her eyes was stuck shut, and by the time I had secured an infirmary for her and went out to collect her to do some Florence Nightingale work, she was gone.
RIP, little darling.

Just like our people children, they bring you joy and tears both. I hate the tears part, but it is so.

Thanks everyone, for your kind words. I am a bit surprised at how much this little quail's death affected me.
