The 'first ever' duck egg for us today and.....it rolled off the table, but not out the door....BUMMER!!! Well, we will have to wait for the next one. I've never eaten a duck egg before. I was looking so forward to at least getting a picture of my first duck egg.

Oh too bad! If I have a bunch of eggs and only one that I want to keep for hatching,.If something happens its always the egg I wanted to keep that something happens to, usually it gets cracked! Murphys Law I guess.

Oh

! My Duck eggs were always better in the winter because they had no access to MUD! So their eggs tasted less "earthy" lol

OMG!!! We ate our first duck eggs today, for the first time in our lives. I made an omelette and it was delicious. We love duck eggs!!! June has been laying an egg everyday, since last Sunday before 7 am. Hopefully she keeps this up, so we won't have to deal with the mud/earthy stuff. We named her June after my mom who passed away a couple of years ago. My sister suggested we name her after mom after all she was born in June and mom's name being June my sister said, it only made sense.
