I pet and hug all of my furry critters and big geese and turkeys get picked up by a big hug because I can not tuck them under my arm like I do with smaller birds. I do not kiss any of them.

My grandmother's budgie used to give us kisses; does that count? But I was about 10 yrs. old.
Kisses to a hen? Nope. I have, however, cuddled one to warm her because she was shivering and let me pick her up ( having just put her back with the others from being a house hen to get better).
I do talk to them; the little RSLs walk between my legs, even when I'm scooched down; one BSL follows me when I'm hand cultivating in the flower garden (she likes grubs).
BUT they don't let me pick them up or pat them. To do that, I would have to catch them unaware.

Not to change the subject...my chicks found me sitting in the apricot tree - it has a perfect low branch for some daydreaming - and after flying up to me, they started climbing the tree! Do your chickens climb trees?!?!

That's a new one for sure, I suspect if our Ameraucanas saw me in the tree eating something, they would be all over that.
Probably not going to happen so I will never know ;)

If I had a tree that had a branch low enough to sit on, I would. And guaranteed, if I was eating something, some of the hens would join me on the branch.
