Here is what I want.... Tacchino Bronzato fro Colli Euganei... a bantam turkey breed from Italy... toms 12 pounds and hens 7 pounds. Anyone heading to Italy?

I agree! Can you just imagine the gobbling sounds? I'd name three of them Alvin, Simon and Theodore... maybe my brain is getting way ahead of me ;)

Parent stock was originally from Performance Poultry. The eggs I got were in trade for hatching some Sebastopol goslings for Chatterfield Farm near Merrickville. The goslings were for her to trade for vet services! Old-school barter system, I love it.
I don't know if her turkeys are "good" or not, but they're not enormous, and I love the purpley colour of them.
My first love is still the Royal Palm, but the price of them tends to be out of my reach.

Oh my, they have some lovely little turkeys, don't they?! I'll put the trip to Italy on my "when I win the lottery" list, right after I head to South America and figure out a way to smuggle home some ocellated turkeys!
