Well 4 bouncing babies for sure, I'm very happy to get any at all! I'll leave the girls another day before I check. Sadly Kim steamrollered 1 hatchling in the other coop but it had an incomplete abdominal closure anyway so I don't know if it died prior to hatching.

Final tally 9/10! Photos to follow. One died around day 17ish. Now what I actually did was give them 10 eggs I knew to be fertile from incubating for a week, so yes Jan it worked LOL. I wanted them to be successful and I knew Stephen likely hadn't got all the girls yet.

I wonder if any will be "special" like Bruce Jen? So glad Stephen got to reproduce one last time!

I think one later than all the others may not make it. Won't come out but each of the girls has gone into the coop to brood it a bit and encourage it. I would not have believed this behaviour unless I'd seen it.
