I nominate @WLLady , PTO administrator, breeder and geneticist. Perhaps along with @poultry_admin , who although "not a chicken person", has extensive experience with chicken math and dealing with us crazy poultry people.
That's a great suggestion! I'm fairly sure she taught high level genetics courses here at the university at one point too!

Thank you for these suggestions!! This is just the kind of support I knew I could rely on :)
For TomK and baronrenfrew I'm sorry I've been gone so long! We've been drastically scaling down our flock since I moved to Guelph for school. Hopefully we will go back in head first when I finish school and can dedicate more time to it. Even got out of my beloved show seramas!

Hey Chicken Ninja great to hear from you.

I don't know if he does talks or travels around much anymore but maybe Gerald Donnelly, would be a good speaker. He has been breeding for years and has kind of a connection to Guelph since he is one of the people that took the U of Guelph's Beltsville Small White Turkeys when they were done their parthenogenesis studies and we getting rid of their flock. I lives in the Orangeville area, I was just communicating with him via email tonight.

so how is university going @Chicken Ninja ?? that's my old alma mater! i helped teach a bunch of the first year prevet courses, like embryology and prevet histology, animal physiology....stuff like that, mostly in biomedical sciences. man that was EONS ago!

Since guelph also has the avian specialists at the vet college you might want to see if one of them can talk too-about avian specific health etc....there is a definite lack of knowledge in treating many of the avian diseases - at least in rural ontario down this way - my vet is wonderful and has offered help any time i have asked, but for her it's also researching and trying to find out information because it's such a new field....

CN
I also am willing to help out depending on timing . I have several "talks " prepared and can handle most any topic with some notice. Mark C and I have several seminars and talks together in the past ... including a session 2 years ago with a large contingency of Vets from across Ontario at the University and I have done some at PIC over in Arkell. As well I work with several from CFIA & OMAFFRA . Gerald Donnelly is also a great speaker and we have done a few seminars over the past years, but he has had some health issues this winter , I am glad to report he is on the mend. Anyway, as mentioned can help out if needed.

Although flattered, I am of the opinion I won't be able to add anything of value to this discussion. I am sure you guys don't need to know how to run a server with a forum. roflmbo
So, I'll be happy to :racer: DW there and then sit in the audience and :pop: . Time permitting.

Yes WLLady would be an excellent choice as well but you are making me want to go as well. I could hide out in the audience, put a hoodie on no-one would suspect.
