well we've had an hour of nasty weather. the magic spell has worn off :(
Yup, arrived here with a vengeance, can't see out of west facing windows, never happened before.
Not weird at all KB, so far today I have apologized to the dog, the snow drops and the chives, probably not done yet. :rain:

It's been gross here since yesterday afternoon. I must be in a bad weather bubble or something...snow first, about three inches, and then a steady pelt of ice pellets and freezing rain ever since. The plows went by this morning, knocking mailboxes willy nilly (including my own), but laid no salt...just scraped...so now the road is a skating rink, bad and getting worse. Only road I saw salted was the highway between Brockville and Smiths Falls.
I am just disgustipated. My poor pepper and tomato seedlings are in a window to get some sun, but they're getting leggy. I'm going to have to put lights on them. Blech.

Plenty of time KB, apparently optimum date for "non leggy" tomatoes is April 16 ;)

Nope, still nice here, I was out in the garden getting the beds ready to sow my lettuce and snow peas, you know and pull a few weeds just like I'm pulling your legs right now lol. We're having the icepocalypse as well now. Not as bad as some places but the wind is supposed to pick up so maybe more power outages.

It's funny the way wild animals "know" when something bad is coming. Friday and Saturday during the day the fields were filled with deer, raccoons, skunks, geese all frantically searching for food, I guess they knew it would be hard to find food yesterday and today.

Not just the wild ones. Turkeys all walked into the coop early just before the freezing rain started yesterday pm.

I am under yet ANOTHER heavy snowfall warning. 30 cm is in the forecast for today.
This is on top of the knee high snow in the fields.
I think green grass or even brown grass will not be seen till May long weekend.
Heck what I am saying? We will get snow this week end as well.
I do believe, we will have flooding once the snow in the mountains start to melt and spring run ( summer) off begins.

Back roads here are still horrible. I haven't seen a plow all weekend around my place. Not going to work today.

Yikes! I don't want 30cm, although I prefer that to an ice storm. Where are you la-chicken? I did hear some good news this morning, they said all this ice and snow should clear up for our Canada day celebrations, so that's good..... I think.
