Biscuit isn't there yet, but yesterday Deanie gifted me with her first egg. What a beauty!

It's gorgeous! How old is Deanie? I'm waiting on 3 girls to get started. Stella is almost 8 months I believe!!! The other two are 6.

I wasn't exactly sure about her age, so I went back to my post about Biscuit and Deanie being hatched in the oven. That happened on Sunday July 23, and Jan and Dean came from
@windwalkingwolf just over a week later. If memory serves, they were about three days younger than Biscuit. So, Deanie is about 5 months and 3 weeks old.
I'm still waiting on Biscuit to start, but I really wasn't expecting either of them to start before February, so I'm not worried yet.
I think your 6 month old girls will probably start then too. As for Stella, I don't know what to tell you, other than if memory serves me, she's been "unconventional" from the day she hatched out

. Stella was slow feathering, right? Maybe everything takes a bit longer for her.

Mine that hatched 12th July have only just started laying this week and the shells are soft. may be not enough sunlight.
29th May hatch have all been laying regularly for a few weeks now.

Stella's mom was 9 months old when she started laying so I'm not worried. Cochin are not speedy creatures at the best of times lol. I think she will start soon. My other two I think are Biscuits age. If memory serves they hatched close to her.

I like that colour, I'm a bit frustrated with my camera in my phone, I am getting all kinds of cool colours from olive green to blue, but when I take pictures, they all look the same on this phone.

I can understand your frustration: My previous phone took less than stellar photos too. At least on close-ups it didn't pick up colour saturation very well, just washed everything out, no matter what colour of background, and especially if it was white for some reason. Which is odd, because in theory, colours are supposed to appear darker against a light background.
I am pleased with how well my new phone's camera picked up the actual colour of this egg.
